In most cases, users will have an idea of their memory power from the Operating System or OS running in their PC. A Windows XP OS needs about 256 MB RAM while all other lower Windows version requires about 128 MB.

More technological advances are being developed in terms of computer applications. The desktop PC will eventually have to be upgraded in terms of memory.
